Early Beta Status

What does “Early Beta” mean?

Glanceo is currently in early beta.

This means the app is:

  • functional, but not final

  • accessible to a limited number of users

  • actively evolving based on real-world usage and feedback

The goal of this phase is not growth, but learning.

We are validating ideas, refining interactions, and making sure Glanceo feels right — before opening it to a wider audience.

Our current focus

At this stage, Glanceo is focused on a few core questions:

  • Does proximity-based discovery feel natural and intuitive?

  • Do users feel safe and in control?

  • Does Glanceo reduce pressure compared to traditional social or dating apps?

  • Do real-life encounters translate into meaningful in-app interactions?

Everything we test and build during the beta serves these questions.

What’s already working

The following elements are actively tested and used during the beta:

  • Core account creation and onboarding

  • Location-based presence and discovery

  • Basic interaction flows between nearby users

  • Privacy-first communication (no phone numbers, no social handles)

  • Visibility and availability controls

These features are functional, but still subject to improvement and refinement.

What’s being tested and refined

Some parts of Glanceo are intentionally experimental during the beta:

  • Interaction timing and visibility rules

  • UI/UX details and micro-interactions

  • How much information is shown — and when

  • Edge cases related to location accuracy and density

  • Feedback loops between users and product decisions

Changes can happen quickly during this phase, sometimes without prior notice.

What is not ready yet?

To keep expectations clear, here are examples of what is not part of the early beta:

  • Large-scale public availability

  • Marketing campaigns or mass onboarding

  • Partnerships with venues, events, or brands

  • Monetization or premium features

These topics are intentionally postponed until the core experience is validated.

Privacy & responsibility during beta

Even in early beta, privacy and safety are non-negotiable.

We apply the same principles we expect to uphold long-term:

  • minimal data exposure

  • user-controlled visibility

  • no forced social sharing

  • clear opt-in / opt-out behavior

The beta phase also allows us to stress-test these principles responsibly before scaling.

The role of early beta users

Early beta users play a central role in Glanceo’s development.

They:

  • use the app in real contexts

  • report friction, confusion, or unexpected behavior

  • challenge assumptions

  • help define what Glanceo should — and should not — become

Feedback is actively reviewed and directly influences product decisions.

What comes next?

The next steps will depend on what we learn during the beta.

Potential future phases include:

  • expanded beta access

  • stabilization of core features

  • preparation for a first public release

No fixed timeline is announced yet — quality and coherence come first.

Why we take this approach

Many apps rush to launch.
Glanceo is choosing a different path.

We believe that:

real-world social interactions deserve thoughtful design,
not shortcuts or inflated promises.

The early beta is how we make sure Glanceo grows on solid ground.
